Responsibilities

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing resources and activities involved in the installation of commercial PV solar systems, with a focus on canopy and ground mount solutions. This role requires strong customer service skills, technical and business acumen, and effective time management to successfully deliver multiple projects concurrently. The Senior Project Manager collaborates with and supports stakeholders across all departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules and timelines; coordinate resources and activities from project kickoff through closeout.
  • Conduct regular site visits to track progress; ensure processes related to materials, safety, and quality are followed.
  • Serve as the primary customer point of contact; provide proactive communication on project status and ensure an excellent customer experience.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and direction to Site Supervisors.
  • Manage subcontractors to achieve agreed-upon schedules and quality standards.
  • Provide timely project administrative information required to meet internal standards and requirements.
  • Support project budget management, including target construction costs, subcontractor buyouts, cost tracking, and participation in weekly budget reviews.

Qualifications

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred; minimum of 2 years of project management experience in the solar or electrical field preferred, including successful management of multiple 100–500 kW DC commercial solar projects.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required; OSHA 30 required. NABCEP certification and MA CSL preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Skills: Strong customer service, organizational, and time-management skills; ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and apply critical thinking to resolve project issues quickly and effectively.
  • Technical: Strong computer skills, including detailed knowledge of G Suite, Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and project scheduling software.
  • Physical capability: Willingness and capability to climb stairs and ladders and perform work on rooftops.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Work is performed at construction job sites and may require working on rooftops and canopies at varying heights.
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and environments (heat, snow, wind, rain, etc.).
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs and routine physical activities such as lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing ladders.
  • Off-hours work (nights/weekends) may be required for specific activities such as outages and crane work.

Travel

Regular travel to job sites and client locations is required, including walking client properties to support site visits and project execution.

Compensation

 

The expected starting pay range for this role is $112,000 - $128 USD. This range is an estimate, and base pay may vary above or below these amounts based on several factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees at all levels.
