Responsibilities

General Summary

The Program & Relations Manager is responsible for developing Solect’s contractor program framework and enabling a strong partner ecosystem by expanding and supporting Solect Energy’s network of electrical and mechanical contractors. This role focuses on sourcing and onboarding new contractors and building strong, mutually beneficial relationships that support construction capacity, safety, quality, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contractor Network Development & Sourcing: Identify, recruit, evaluate, and onboard new electrical and mechanical contractors; negotiate scopes, deliverables, and performance expectations.
  • Contractor Onboarding & Integration: Lead contractor onboarding, including coordination of Master Service Agreements (MSAs) with Legal and alignment with business operations; ensure contractors understand Solect standards, safety protocols, and operational workflows.
  • Contractor Relationship Management & Engagement: Maintain proactive communication through regular calls, meetings, and site visits; cultivate strong, partnership-driven relationships; serve as the primary relationship owner for contractor engagement.
  • Contractor Program Coordination: Interface with Safety to reinforce contractor alignment with Solect safety protocols; coordinate with project management teams to review trends, feedback, and lessons learned.
  • Contractor Performance Visibility & Continuous Improvement: Monitor contractor performance trends using punch lists and leadership feedback; facilitate lessons learned discussions and identify improvement actions.
  • Internal Coordination & Program Development: Partner with Pre-Construction, Construction, Logistics, Safety, and Executive Leadership to improve contractor program effectiveness and scalability.

Qualifications

Desired Skills & Experience

Essential Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in contractor management, construction operations, pre-construction, program management, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated experience sourcing, vetting, onboarding, and managing contractor relationships.
  • Strong business acumen with proven negotiation and relationship-building capability.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams).
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, organizational skills, and ability to build trust with contractor ownership and leadership.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in solar, electrical, mechanical, or commercial construction.
  • Experience scaling contractor networks in high-growth construction environments.

Travel Requirement

This position requires occasional travel to contractor locations and company facilities as needed to support business operations. Travel is intermittent and represents a limited portion of overall responsibilities.

The expected starting pay range for this role is $78,000 - $112,000 USD. This range is an estimate, and base pay may vary above or below these amounts based on several factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees at all levels.
