Responsibilities

Job Purpose

 

Dynamic Energy is seeking a qualified Chief Financial Officer to join its leadership team. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for driving financial strategy, capital planning, and fiscal discipline to support profitable growth and project execution. The CFO plays a critical role in maximizing enterprise value through financial performance optimization, risk management, and investor readiness. This includes overseeing M&A, capital raises, and ensuring the company’s financial infrastructure supports scalability and strategic decision-making.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead financial strategy, planning, and execution to support business growth and exit goals; align finance with corporate objectives.
  • Provide financial guidance to the CEO and leadership team on strategic decisions and investment priorities.
  • Oversee capital structure, project financing, and fundraising efforts (debt, equity, tax equity); manage banking and investor relationships.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting, audits, and compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and investor requirements.
  • Oversee all audit, tax, and compliance activities, serving as the primary financial liaison with Pattern Energy.
  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets, long-range forecasts, and scenario planning models.
  • Monitor performance against financial targets, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead financial due diligence, valuation analysis, and integration planning for acquisitions or divestitures.
  • Manage, coach, and develop the Director of Finance and Accounting team.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to ensure financial alignment with project execution and development pipelines.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the CEO and management.

Qualifications

Experience/Qualifications/Education Required 

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles, with at least 5 years as CFO or senior finance executive in a project-based or capital-intensive industry.
  • Industry Experience: Proven experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, construction, or EPC sectors.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of project finance, capital structuring, and M&A. Demonstrated ability to lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic planning in a high-growth environment.
  • Systems: Proficiency with financial systems (ERP, forecasting tools) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Compliance: Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or CPA designation.
  • Familiarity with federal and state-level renewable energy incentives, tax equity structures, and intercompany transfer pricing.
  • Track record of fundraising and managing investor/stakeholder relations.

 

The expected starting base pay for this role is mid $200k USD. This is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
