Responsibilities

Job Purpose

 

The HR Generalist will work alongside the HR Business Partners to deliver HR services to Pattern’s business units, including but not limited to Employee Engagement, Employee Relations, HR Operations, Benefits and Leave Administration, and HR-related compliance. This role supports the HR Business Partner team with the administration and management of existing and new HR Programs and Systems that align for the overall HR strategy.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Employee Engagement
    • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
    • Assist HR BP’s in development of employee surveys (engagement, onboarding, exit, etc.). Manage survey reporting and data analysis in partnership with HR BP team.
    • Process Improvements: Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process improvements including identifying needs, making recommendations, process roll-out, training, and implementation, to ensure seamless employee support.
    • Project management and support for engagement and HRBP special projects and new/existing programs as needed.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding Programs
    • Manage onboarding process and activities for all regular and temporary new hires (non-agency/consultant) including coordination with hiring managers and cross-functional teams, facilitating New Hire & Benefits Orientation.
    • Onboarding project - work directly with Organization Development manager with ownership of New Hire Orientation program
    • Ensure compliance with I-9 documentation requirements by verifying employee eligibility to work in the U.S., maintaining accurate records, and coordinating timely re-verifications as needed.
    • Manage the offboarding process and activities, including coordination with hiring managers and cross-functional teams.
  • Employee Relations
    • Manage general employee inquiries related to Pattern policies and processes as delegated by HR BP’s, escalate complex and/or sensitive matters to HR BP’s or appropriate P&C SME. Offer high level of responsiveness with focus on customer service and accuracy.
    • Serve as support for employee relations and investigations as needed, including participating in meetings, and tracking and maintaining critical documentation
  • Compliance
    • Execute tasks required to administer HR programs and policies.
    • Stay current with changes in employee law legislation.
    • Educate, explain and answer employee questions regarding all benefit programs including but not limited to inquiries about health, dental, vision, life, AD&D, STD, LTD, FSAs, HSA, EAP, 401(k) and employee PTO. Refer employees to applicable resources.
  • Talent Mobility & Immigration
    • Manage employee change updates, including drafting change letters, processing Employee Action Notices, and filing accurate approvals and documentation.
    • Manage the immigration process, including key documentation and correspondence with outside counsel, with support from HR BPs.
  • Benefits Administration
    • Provide information and assistance to employees regarding benefits enrollment, claims, and questions.
    • Answer employee LOA inquiries and provide administrative support of LOA processes, in partnership with third party vendor and Benefits manager.

Qualifications

Experience/Qualifications/Education Required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Psychology).
  • 2+ years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in HR.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to support a visa and immigration program.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with DocuSign or similar e-signature platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting an immigration program or familiarity with visa processes (H-1B, L-1, etc.).
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems (experience with ADP a plus)
  • Familiarity with Culture Amp
