Responsibilities

Job Purpose

The Organizational Development Manager plans, develops, implements and administers development and training programs for company employees; including but not limited to managing and coordinating the onboarding process, professional development courses, and unconscious bias training The manager also acts as liaison and advisor to the organization's leadership and facilitates initiatives across the organization.

Responsible for managing and coordinating the onboarding process. This individual will work closely with various departments and leaders to ensure a seamless and effective onboarding experience for all new employees.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute a learning and development strategy that aligns with the organization's objectives and addresses current and future skills needs. Conducts annual training and development needs assessment. 
  • Develops training and development programs and objectives. Reviews existing training programs; suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of clientele, the organization, or the industry.  Conducts follow-up surveys for all completed training to evaluate and measure results.  Report on key metrics and make data driven adjustments to improve outcomes. 
  • Obtains and /or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media. This may include vendor management.  Facilitate engaging and effective training sessions, both in-person and virtually, to diverse groups of employees across all levels of the organization. Manages relationships with external vendors and partners to provide training and development.
  • Manages a comprehensive corporate onboarding program for new hires, including orientation, training, and integration into the company culture and values. Evaluate and improve onboarding processes and programs to ensure that they are effective, efficient, and aligned with company goals and values; Partner with HR Generalist/HRBP’s to create and implement department-specific onboarding plans and training for new employees.  Provide guidance and support to managers and employees throughout the onboarding process.

Qualifications

Experience/Qualifications/Education Required

  • Minimum of 10 years of training experience, and at least one year of management experience.
  • Experience designing and implementing effective training and development programs.
  • CPLP credential, preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or related field
  • Bachelor's degree in training and development or organizational development.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design
  • Experience managing onboarding programs for multiple departments and/or programs.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast paced environment
    • Familiarity with Monday.com
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with HRIS LMS systems
  • Experience onboarding software is a plus

 

The expected starting pay range for this role is $103,000 - $139,000 USD. This range is an estimated and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, life insurance, voluntary benefits, family care benefits, employee assistance program, paid time off and bonding leave, paid holidays, 401(k)/RRSP retirement savings plan with employer contribution, and employee referral bonuses.
