Responsibilities

Job Purpose

Solect is currently seeking a full-time Inside Sales Representative physically located in New England whose primary role is to cold call and email to identify and qualify prospective new customers. This position must have call out experience. This role allows individuals to work from home or at our headquarters in Hopkinton, MA.  The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, articulate, engaging and laser focused on new client acquisition.  This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team in the exciting solar industry and to make a positive contribution to the environment.  Solect is committed to building a culture of excellence through employee development by creating an environment that inspires innovation and teamwork.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify prospective new customers by adhering to Solect’s qualification parameters.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual qualified meeting goals.
  • Utilize Solect’s business systems efficiently including Salesforce, Zoominfo, LinkedIn Navigator, Google Apps, HubSpot and others as instructed in conjunction with outreach activities.
  • Be able to articulate the benefits of solar, including tax credits, depreciation, incentives and ROI.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of various state and utility specific incentive programs.
  • Responsible for keeping the lines of communication open with the Solect Sales Team around qualified meetings through notes, calendar updates, etc.
  • Attend occasional sales and training meetings in person in Hopkinton, MA.

 

Qualifications

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate the company’s vision and values to all key stakeholders with a prospect
  • Professionally persistent, polite, and self-confident
  • A proven ability to sell with a minimum of 1-year of related experience, specifically making calls and setting appointments
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Tech savvy with prior knowledge of Salesforce, and can quickly learn others such as, Hubspot, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Navigator, Google Apps, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Preferred – but not mandatory – knowledge of the energy markets and/or selling large capital improvement project
