JOB PURPOSE

 

The Health and Safety Professional is part of the EPC and Field Operations team and actively provides on-site leadership and strategic direction around ensuring the health and safety of our employees and contractors. The role will begin in EPC supporting Sunzia construction activities and upon COD will transfer to Field Operations supporting NM operational facilities

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

  • Support EPC sites with all HSE program requirements and initiatives -EPC
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations as required – EPC
  • Lead and participate in joint field observations, inspections, and assessments with vendors and contractors. – EPC
  • Actively participate in all-hands safety meetings and training initiatives – EPC
  • Communicate investigation information and observation findings to site personnel and management teams - EPC
  • Coach and build strong relationships with site employees – Operations
  • Support the set up and regular inspection of Pattern facilities to ensure we maintain safety compliance and implement best safety practices throughout the fleet – Operations
  • Support Field Operations in New Mexico after Sunzia COD- Operations
  • The position will be a high travel position with travel expectations up to 75% around New Mexico and Arizona.

 

Qualifications

Experience/Qualifications/Education Required

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational or Industrial Health and Safety or 5 years of technical leadership work experience in the wind industry.
  • Experience with cranes, lifting and rigging, civil works, safety management systems, control of hazardous energy, confined space requirements, work at heights and soft tissue injury prevention desired.
  • Experience with Renewable Energy EPC and Operating projects
  • Experience with emergency medical training and wilderness first aid technique

 

Additional Requirements

  • At least 5 years experience in H&S Construction and/ or O&M projects
  • Wind turbine technical expertise combined with leadership experience.

Technical Skills

 

The expected starting pay range for this role is $90,000 - $112,000 USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
