Responsibilities

Job Purpose

 

The Reliability Compliance Analyst will maintain the compliance of Pattern’s resources to applicable FERC Regulations, NERC Reliability Standards, ISO/RTO market rules and other compliance requirements that relate to reliability through research, data collection, analysis, compliance document organization, and compliance submissions to the appropriate reliability entities.

 

This position oversees development, analysis, maintenance and training of Pattern’s policies, procedures, standards and other systematic preventive measures developed to ensure adherence with applicable reliability compliance requirements and industry best practices.

 

Furthermore, the analyst will prepare reports and presentation materials on Pattern’s reliability compliance activities for internal and external business partners.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Development and periodic review of Pattern’s reliability compliance procedures & studies.
  • Training & coaching Pattern personnel on Pattern’s reliability compliance procedures.
  • Data collection, analysis and submittal for NERC and other reliability entities required self-certifications, data requests, audit data, etc.
  • Internal auditing of the implementation of Pattern’s reliability compliance procedures.
  • Administer Pattern’s Regulatory Compliance work management system, PACT.
  • Preparation of reports on Pattern’s reliability compliance activities, including the analysis of data to understand trends and system events for internal & external business partners.
  • Represent Pattern and participate in various conferences, workshops and industry groups associated with reliability compliance requirements.
  • Investigate potential noncompliance events as they relate to Pattern’s reliability compliance procedures.

Qualifications

Experience/Qualifications/Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field such as engineering, economics, finance or computer science.
  • Minimum of 2 year of experience with NERC and FERC.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the electrical industry.
  • Moderate knowledge of electrical principles.
  • Advanced research and writing skills.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Consistently deliver on deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational communication skills (oral and written).
  • Strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
  • NERC certified or experience working in regulatory compliance position, is a plus
  • NERC, FERC, and DOE experience is a plus.

The expected starting pay range for this role is $80,000 - $108,000 USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
