Responsibilities

Job Purpose

As a Senior BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data solutions that transform raw data into actionable insights. You will leverage your extensive experience with Power BI and other BI tools to support our business intelligence and analytics initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling, as well as the ability to work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver compelling dashboards and reports. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop visually compelling and interactive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI to communicate insights and drive decision-making. 
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and analyze user requirements. 
  • Utilize various visualization techniques (e.g., Stacked bar Chart, Clustered bar Chart, Scatter Chart, Pie Chart, Donut Chart, Line & Clustered Column Chart, Map, Slicer, etc.) to present data in an insightful manner. 
  • Design, implement, and maintain ETL processes using SSIS, ensuring efficient data migration and transformation. 
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to improve data retrieval and performance. 
  • Implement data models and data warehouses to support BI initiatives. 
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data through thorough testing and validation. 
  • Deploy and manage BI solutions in cloud environments, including Azure. 
  • Provide production support, including troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner. 
  • Stay abreast of the latest BI technologies and best practices to continuously improve BI solutions. 

Qualifications

Experience/Qualifications/Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. 
  • 10+ years of experience in BI development, with a strong focus on Power BI. 
  • Proficient in SQL, DAX, and data modeling techniques. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud applications, including Azure Synapse, Data Factory V2, and Azure SQL Server. 
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience in designing and developing SSIS packages for data migration. 
  • Familiarity with Agile Development Methodology. 
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 

 

The expected starting pay range for this role is $65 to $85/hr USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education.
