Management of Pattern’s origination team with responsibility for energy revenue structuring, origination, and power marketing coverage for Pattern’s North American development pipeline.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage origination team in advancement of the following and take responsibility for most strategic and complex initiatives:
• Lead the structuring of wind, solar, transmission and storage renewable products
• Manage existing and establish new customer relationships – with a wide arrays of projects partners and customers – corporations, utilities, CCAs, municipal and cooperatives, etc.
• Initiative, negotiate and execute commercial revenue contracts.
• Coordinate responses to RFP requests for renewable energy.
• Provide key leadership role to work with cross-functional efforts across the company to identify new growth opportunities based on changing market conditions.
• Provide multi-level internal support to provide information and support to accounting, operations, finance, etc. to support implementation and on-going maintenance of commercial off-take arrangement.
• Serve as key market and risk committee member

Educational Requirements

• BA/BS
• MBA or graduate degree a plus.

Required Work Experience

Minimum of 15 years in energy origination or power marketing experience.

Additional Requirements

Must possess strengths in the following:

• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complicated subjects/transactions.
• Ability to work well with several different functional teams (e.g. development, finance, accounting, external affairs, fundamentals, operations).
• Strong negotiation and deal execution skills with extensive experience in completing renewable energy revenue contracts.
• Extensive relationships with renewable energy buyers and partners
• Advanced understanding of renewable energy finance and economics and able to work easily with valuations and financial models for renewable energy projects.
• Ability to work well as a team member and a team leader.
• Strong desire to take initiative and find new counterparties and learn new markets and create new products.

The expected starting pay range for this role is $238,000 - $321,000 USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
