Responsibilities

Job Purpose

The Project Communications Consultant will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development of  project-related content and materials, in close coordination with the Communications, Stakeholder Engagement and Business Development Teams. This position will work across functions with subject matter experts to build and update essential project content and materials such as messaging guides, fact sheets, FAQ documents, and project website content.

 

The ideal candidate will be energetic, organized, process and detail-oriented, flexible, possess excellent writing skills, and be able to adjust to changing and evolving priorities. Familiarity with the renewable energy industry is a must, and experience with political advocacy, land-use and the siting challenges energy projects face is preferred.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the content development process in support of project development efforts.
  • Build upon processes for content creation, review and approval by internal stakeholders and external consultants.
  • Develop process to gauge effectiveness and accuracy of existing project content and work with internal teams to adjust and optimize as needed.
  • Monitor project progress, proactively identify potential problems, and work with project teams to fill gaps in capacity.
  • Maintain a broad view of priorities across Pattern’s development portfolio.

Qualifications

Experience/Qualifications/Education Required

  • 5 years of experience in communications, content development or advocacy/policy communication.
  • Experience working with diverse audiences and simplifying technical processes for general consumption.
  • Experience in the renewable energy industry.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams to gather feedback and critical project information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management and highly organized.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

 

The expected starting pay range for this role is $45.00 - $55.00/hour USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education.
