The Manager, Technical Accounting & Reporting, will have primary responsibility for leading technical accounting analyses, owning preparation of memoranda to support accounting conclusions, and applying application of technical accounting analyses to transactions, for Pattern Energy Group. Collaborate and work with the Senior Director and Director of Technical Accounting & Reporting as well as other accounting management to ensure accounting and reporting of complex transaction is accurate and transparent. This position will also manage preparation of annual corporate audits and individual project-level annual audit reports . This position will lead and coordinate cross functional projects for the Controller, partnering with commercial and finance professionals across the organization. Lead implementation of new accounting standards. Act as the lead technical resource across the organization and provide training for other accounting & non-accounting professionals. Ensure purchase accounting (ASC 805) technical guidance is applied correctly to acquisitions and coordinate with accounting completion of any controls or processes.
This position will maintain key internal relationships with the Senior Director and Director, Technical Accounting & Reporting, Controller, Directors of FP&A, Sr. Manager, Consolidations & Financial Systems, corporate and operational accounting groups, and the corporate tax, legal, IT and finance groups as well as other operational management as needed. Externally, key relationships will include Pattern’s audit and tax firms.
