    Responsibilities

    JOB PURPOSE

    Executes sourcing strategies and warranty claims for materials and services to obtain the optimum total cost of ownership for Pattern.

     

    Key Accountabilities

    The key responsibilities will include the following:

     

    • Creates value by developing and implementing sourcing alternatives, executing and implementing specific contracts.
    • Works closely with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and sourcing priorities for the year. Participates in developing annual procurement and supply chain plans.
    • Conducts internal analysis for assigned areas of spend. Analyzes historical purchases, gathers specifications, compiles user requirements, develops usage forecasts and estimates future spend.  Benchmarks key cost drivers for services and materials. 
    • Identifies qualified suppliers by reviewing the external supplier market.
    • Works with operations engineering to qualify suppliers and their products for technical acceptance.
    • Identifies risks and mitigations for given spend area, creates work plan and timeline.
    • Negotiates and selects suppliers by developing a detailed negotiation plan, RFP, etc. Develops detailed evaluation models and evaluates supplier proposals.
    • Effectively implements new agreements to ensure success of the supply chain plan. This includes formally kicking-off the agreement, explaining its advantages, and establishing the transactional infrastructure to make it work.
    • Manages contract amendments, warranty claims and contractual follow-ups for assigned categories. Closes warranty claims for key suppliers.
    • Executes required Trade Agremeents.
    • Assumes Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) for assigned categories.
    • Evaluates market intelligence and contributes to the annual budgeting planning process.
    • Documents value generation (EBIT, cost savings, cost avoidance)
    • Serves as backup for inventory manager

    Qualifications

    Educational Experience

    A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, business or a related field is required.

    Major ERP (AX, Oracle or SAP) Procurement/Sourcing/Inventory/Materials Management Certification Desired

    ISM CPSM Certification Desired

    Required Work Experience

    Candidate must have at least five years’ experience in executing strategic sourcing initiatives for materials and services, with a track record of value creation.  Candidate must have strong knowledge of ERP Procurement/Sourcing/Inventory/Materials Management modules; with a solid knowledge of strategic sourcing best practices.  Familiar with wind and solar materials and service is a plus.

    • Ability to work both strategically and transactionally
    • Strong technical knowledge of executing transactions within ERP Procurement/Sourcing/Inventory/Materials Management modules
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to travel to remote wind and solar power plants and interface directly with site personel

    • Up to 15%

     

    Technical Skills

    Computer skills –.proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

    Experience with Major ERP (AX, Oracle or SAP) Procurement/Sourcing/Inventory/Materials Management Modules
