    The Senior Analyst, SOX Compliance, will have responsibility for managing SOXHUB, SOX compliance application, researching SOX deficiencies and providing deficiency resolutions and/or remediation proposals, update SOX process narratives with assurance that key controls effectively address determined process risks, train process and control owners on updated control activities and provide management with SOX compliance status reports.



    This position will maintain key internal relationships with the Senior Manager, SOX Compliance, Internal Audit, corporate and operational accounting groups, consolidations & financial systems groups, the SEC reporting group, the corporate tax, legal, and finance groups as well as other business development staff and operational management. Externally, key relationships will include Pattern’s auditors, and service providers related to Pattern’s SOX compliance.

    • Implement and maintain SOXHUB, SOX compliance application
    • Update SOX process narratives with revised or new process procedures and key internal controls
    • Review key and compensating controls to determine proper classification and effectiveness of controls
    • Research identified control deficiencies and provide deficiency resolutions and/or remediation plans
    • Work with control owners in the training of new or revised control activities
    • Provide SOX compliance reporting to management
    • Perform or assist with ad-hoc or special projects as assigned.


    Educational Requirements

    A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.  A CPA certification and/or graduate degree in Accounting is preferred.


    Required Work Experience

    • Candidates should have at least 5 or more years of SOX compliance experience either assisting in SOX compliance efforts or as an auditor.
    • Experience in implementing and/or maintaining a system or application.
    • Experience in the power generation or energy industry is a plus.
    • Experience working in a fast pace dynamic environment.


    Technical Skills

    • Ability to work on and manage several projects with the ability to deliver quality results within tight timeframes.
    • Excellent Excel skills with experience in macros and pivot table capabilities.
    • Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively with a wide range of Pattern personnel from senior management to staff.
    • Knowledge and understanding of PCAOB Audit Standards, Staff Audit Practice Alerts, COSO 2013 Internal Controls Integrated Framework.
