    Responsibilities

    Job Purpose

    This position is primarily responsible for the preparation of the quarterly and annual income tax provision for all entities and assists with other tax matters including financial statement disclosure, accounting for investments in tax equity partnerships, assessment of the impact of changes in tax law, SOX compliance, analysis of the tax impact of transactions, preparation of analytical research memos, and collaboration with external tax advisors and financial auditors.  This is a Senior Manager position in the Tax Accounting organization.  The Senior Manager reports to and supports the Director, Tax Accounting with continued compliance with all related accounting rules. 

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Prepare consolidated quarterly and annual domestic income tax provisions including all calculations for ASC 740 (FAS 109), FIN 18 and  ASC 740-10 (FIN 48) , as well as all tax account reconciliations, related SOX 404 documentation and corresponding footnote disclosures.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including external auditors, on the quarterly review and year-end audit in connection with tax accounting matters.
    • Prepare quarterly and annual taxable income projections.
    • Manage third party preparation of foreign tax provisions.
    • Work with transaction tax structuring group and act as liaison between tax structuring, tax compliance and accounting on tax issues.
    • Perform GAAP and tax research, apply critical thinking skills, and document conclusions with respect to complex tax matters including authority citations and well-reasoned application of FASB guidance and tax law.
    • Ability to formulate and implement strategies to address opportunities and challenges.

    Qualifications

    Education and Work Experience

    • This position requires prior experience as a high-performing manager. The successful candidate must have 7 plus years of tax accounting experience for both publically traded and privately held companies. 
    • An undergraduate degree in Accounting or related area is required. Graduate degree and CPA preferred.

    Technical Skills

    Skill and comfort working in a dynamic, rapidly evolving company that uses Microsoft Office, OneSource Tax Provision software and various accounting and tax return and research applications.
